Links (V5.x.x)
Clicking on the 'Extra information' page button and then the 'Links' page button allows you to associate various files and online resources with your OpenSong file.
You can save YouTube, web page, audio file and other file links with your song.
Online link:
Paste or type any webpage you want to link to this song.
Audio file link:
If you synchronise your songs between devices, I highly recommend that you store any linked audio files inside the OpenSong folder on your device. Suggested folders are the Pad or Media folder. This way, the link audio files are also synchronised between devices and will work properly. Once you have selected an appropriate file, you can preview the song by clicking on the green audio button next to the Audio File link. You can also set this audio file as the backing track/pad to use with this song. To do this, save the links then open the Pad window and set the Backing track to 'Audio file link'.
Other link:
You can add any other type of file here (pdf, doc, etc.). OpenSong Tablet will open the 'other link' using a suitable app that is installed on your device. To insert a local file, select it using the same method as the audio file link.
YouTube link:You can manually enter (or paste) a YouTube link into this box. If you have the YouTube app installed on your device, the button next to the link will open it with the app. Otherwise, the link will be opened in a web browser.
To copy a YouTube link/URL from the mobile app, open the YouTube app, search for the appropriate video. then click on the 'Share' button (it is a curly arrow near the top right of the video window that appears when you pause the video). Then either select 'Copy URL' or 'Copy to Clipboard'. Switch back to the OpenSong Tablet app and click on the text box next to the YouTube link to enter the address. Long pressing in this box will allow you to paste the copied address. Please note that YouTube currently blocks playing videos in the background of other apps.
