App mode

Found under: Settings > Choose app mode

Here you can select the operation mode of OpenSongApp:

Performance Mode

This is the most common use of the app.  It effectively replaces paper chord sheets with your device's screen turning it into a digital songbook.

Connected displays (Chromecast, etc.) will show the entire song also.

Presenter Mode

This is the mode to use if you want to have full control of an external display (projector, TV, Chromecast, screen, etc.).  This is often used in corporate settings where you want to display the contents on your device to a larger screen, e.g. for a church congregation to sing along.

Connected displays (Chromecast, etc.) will show one section of the song at a time.

Stage Mode

This mode splits songs into sections and attempts to zoom into a section at a time to make it readable from a distance.  This mode is best used when you connect your device as a client device to another host (likely running Presenter Mode) and have someone else controlling what is displayed.  Often the output would be displayed on a separate stage monitor screen.

Connected displays (Chromecast, etc.) will show one section of the song at a time.

When you close the app, the last mode used will be used when you next start the app.
