Welcome to OpenSongApp

There is currently a bug in Google Play Services that stops some users trying to connect devices using Google Nearby.  Google have identified this issue and have a full fix coming.  I have requested a 'cherry pick' fix which should hopefully happen by 25th September and will fix Google Play Services on devices running beta 32.  There is a full fix coming out on 4th October.  As a result, I'll hold off updating to beta 33 for now.

v5.6.0 is the current version on the Google Play Store.  To get early access to many more features, please switch to the beta channel (follow the link in the updates page) - this will switch you over to v6

v6 is currently in beta testing but will soon be promoted to the stable channel of Google Play.

Welcome to the OpenSongApp website. This website is designed as the online manual for the free Android song book app available on Google Play.

OpenSongApp is designed to allow musicians, worship leaders, etc. use their Android tablet as a portable song book using their collection of OpenSong songs.  It is also a portable alternative to using a desktop/laptop running  OpenSong for tech teams connecting to a projector / secondary display.

It is also a good, free, Android alternative to users who don't have iPads!

Some of the features of the app are listed below:
